Advent Festival
The religious education department sponsors an Advent Festival on the first Sunday and Monday of Advent. The main activity is the creation and blessing of a family Advent Wreath. A couple of craft activities are planned for children of different ages. The community activities end with as distribution of a home kit for each family. The kit contains materials with hands on suggestions for observing Advent at home.
Mardi Gras
Lent starts with the families gathering for a mini Mardi Gras evening. The Mardi Gras is just a brief introduction. The main focus is preparing for Easter. Last year's palms are burned outdoors. A large the ALLELUIA BANNER is buried for the Lenten Season. Families leave in a somber mood with a home kit containing suggestions for keeping Lent at home.

Mardi Gras
This event is held the Tuesday evening before Ash Wednesday. The 2010 Mardi Gras is February 16, from 5:30 to 7:15. Call for more information.
